As an international development professional, I appreciate the new lens in which you are looking at the issues plaguing the countries that the rest of the world looks upon with pity. I traveled alone throughout Sub-Saharan Africa for five months and saw the richness and diversity of each country, and felt the aspirational potential of it’s people. That experience has helped me in my work to focus on empowerment and capacity building, even within the context of supplying exigent humanitarian relief. I look forward to reading more of your articles.
